ALTOONA, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team is currently in third place at the Red Flash Invitational, after day one of the three day competition at Holiday Bowl in Altoona, Pa.
Schools joining the Golden Bear in participation at the competition include St. Francis (Pa.), Ursuline, New Jersey City, Penn State Altoona, Medaille, and Salem International.
KU went 4-0 on the day with a total pin fall of 3596 for third place. St. Francis (Pa.) leads the competition in first place with 3864 pins, followed by Ursuline with 3733 pins for second place. New Jersey City (3532) follows the Golden Bears in fourth place, and Penn State Altoona rounds out the top five with 3144 pins.
The Golden Bears defeated Medaille (740-600), Penn State Altoona (683-615), Ursuline (722-704), and Salem International (776-536) to take their overall record to 28-10.
The Maroon and Gold return for day two of action Saturday, December 1, to face New Jersey City, St. Francis (Pa.), Ursuline, Salem International, and Penn State Altoona beginning at 10 a.m.
