LANCASTER, Pa. – In its 2012 season opener, the Kutztown University women's bowling team finds itself in second place after the first day of action in the Pennsylvania Classic on Saturday in Lancaster, Pa.
Pacing the Golden Bears is
Brooke Bower (Camp Hill, PA/Cedar Cliff) who is averaging 223.2 after six matches including a 254 performance against Saint Francis (Pa.).
Christine Gordon (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) rolled four games for the Maroon & Gold, averaging a 201.3.
KU is currently 1-0 in NCAA match play after taking a 934-874 final against St. Francis (Pa.).
With two squads representing Golden Bears, the A team is on second while the B team is currently in sixth. The Saint Francis (Pa.) A squad is in third as Briarcliffe holds fourth and Mohawk Valley is fifth.
The Golden Bears will return to action on Sunday, day two of the Pennsylvania Classic.
