KUTZTOWN, Pa. (April 14, 2011) – The Kutztown University women's tennis team concluded its home schedule with a 9-0 setback to Bloomsburg University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game Thursday afternoon.
Rachel Grula (Drums, PA/Hazleton Area) battled hard at No. 1 singles before dropping a 7-5, 6-2 decision. The doubles squad of Tess Wright (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg Area) and Tori Zander (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) came close to pulling out a win. They fell, 8-6, in an exciting match. The Golden Bears overall record now stands at 3-11 and 2-4 in the PSAC East.
Kutztown closes its season by competing at the regional duals hosted by Bloomsburg University on Saturday and Sunday.
