LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (October 19, 2011)—The Kutztown University women's soccer team suffered its first road loss of the season, with a 1-0 setback to Lock Haven University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game at Hubert Jack Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Bears (11-4 overall) slipped to 9-3 in the PSAC. KU has already clinched a spot in the PSAC playoff. Kutztown is ranked 16th in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 poll.
Lock Haven (5-7-2 overall) is 3-6-2 in the PSAC.
The game lasted over three hours due to two lightning delays during play.
LHU's Natalie Isett scored the game's lone goal in the 13th minute off a 22-yarder. Isett's goal was assisted by Carly D'Orsaneo.
Kutztown outshot Lock Haven 7-8. However KU only had two shots-on-goal.
Sam Costello (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and
Janine Valerio (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) tried to make their way to the goal but were stopped by LHU goalie Hayley Zinn, who recorded two saves. Kutztown goalie
Casey Behrendt (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) also had two saves.
Although the Golden Bears suffered a minor setback, they're staying focused on the next few tests that they must face.
The final three games of the season will take place on the road as Kutztown battles Clarion on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m., Long Island University C.W. Post on Tuesday, Oct.25, and Mansfield University on Saturday, Oct. 29.
