Kutztown women's tennis comes up short in opener against Philadelphia

KUTZTOWN, PA (September 11, 2010) – The Kutztown University women's tennis started the 2010 season by dropping a tough 5-4 decision to Philadelphia University.

 

Rachel Grula (Drums, PA/Hazleton Area) and Chelsea White (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove) prevailed at No. 2 doubles to lead the Golden Bears. They prevailed in a tough set claiming a 9-7 victory. Also for Kutztown, Emily Wesoloski (Brackney, PA/Montrose Area) was a winner at No. 5 singles. She won a three set tiebreaker by claiming a 10-7 decision in the third game.

 

Kutztown also claimed a pair of wins by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
