KUTZTOWN, PA (May 6, 2010) – Kutztown University sophomore attack Rachel Mehaffey was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division women's lacrosse second team. It was the second consecutive year Mehaffey earned all-conference recognition.

Mehaffey had a strong season for the Golden Bears finishing with 29 points and 21 goals scored. She was second on the team in points and third in goals. Mehaffey also handed out eight assists for the Golden Bears. She scored at least two goals in seven games this season.

Among some of her highlights during the season for the Golden Bears was scoring a season-high five goals and handing out two assists against East Stroudsburg on April 12. A week later, Mehaffey capped off a phenomenal second half performance by scoring the game winning goal against Philadelphia University in a thrilling 12-11 win. She scored four goals in the final 20 minutes against Philadelphia. Defensively, Mehaffey finished the season with seven caused turnovers.

During her two year career, Mehaffey has 62 goals and 19 assists for 81 points. Last season, Mehaffey was also named to the Womenslacrosse.com all-rookie team.
