HILTON HEAD, SC (March 12, 2010) – The Kutztown University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Slippery Rock Friday afternoon.

Nicole Devine (Orefield/Allentown Central) was the only winner for the Golden Bears (1-3 overall). She defeated SRU's Chelsea Gibson, 6-1, 6-2. However, the match was much closer than the score indicated especially in the first two doubles matches.

Kutztown's doubles teams of Rohini Das (Kolkata, INDIA/) and Radmina Borooah along with Sabrina Arnaud (Quebec, CANADA/) and Devin both fell by scores of 9-8.  

The Golden Bears conclude their trip when they meet Concord Saturday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.
