Ryan Washington, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Washington had his second double-double of the season, with an 18 point, 11 rebound effort in a win at the University of District of Columbia. Through five games, Washington is second on the team with a 20.0 points per game average and leads the Golden Bears with an 8.6 rebounds per game average.
