Tim Hite completed his third season with the Kutztown University track and field team in 2016-17.
Hite works primarily with the long and short sprints at KU. In his first season in 2015, he guided the school-record-setting 4x100 women's outdoor team and six marks on KU's all-time top-10 lists. He followed in 2016 with indoor school-records in the women's 60m and 200m dashes, along with the third-place All-PSAC men's 4x400m relay team.
In 2017, KU's men's 4x100m relay broke a 16-year-old school-record under Hite's guidance.
Prior to Kutztown, Hite was a personal trainer and coach. From 2010-12, Hite coached at Hempfield High School, where he guided a silver medalist in the girls 400m dash in 2012. From 2008-10 he coached at Altoona Area High School. He assisted with the sprints for both boys and girls team. The Altoona boys team was a two-time PTFCA Indoor Team State Champions and PIAA Outdoor Team State Champions. He also coaches a Nike Outdoor National All American in the 4x100m and 4x400m.
As an undergraduate, he competed for Lock Haven University, where he was a three-time All-PSAC athlete.
Hite holds undergraduate degrees in health and physical education, and sports administration. Hite has attained his Level 1 sport performance certification through USA Weightlifting and a Technical Certification through USTFCCCA.
Hite enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Laura, and children, Maddie (5), Jon (3).
