Brittany Hansrote completed her first year as assistant field hockey coach in 2013.
Hansrote came to Kutztown after a year of working with current Kutztown head field hockey coach Marci Scheuing at Bryn Mawr College as an assistant coach.
In 2011, Hansrote was the assistant varsity coach and head JV coach at her alma mater, Pennridge High School. With the Rams, she was responsible for creating and coordinating practice plans, running practices and games tactics. In addition, Hansrote is the U-16 and U-19 coach for the Mystx Field Hockey Club based out of Feasterville, Pa.
A 2009 Mansfield University graduate, Hansrote earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Travel and Tourism. Following graduation, she worked with the BDO Junior World Field Hockey Cup before spending the next two years as a sports travel agent with World Travel Inc. and EPN Travel Services.
On the field at Mansfield, Hansrote was a four-year letter winner and two-year co-captain for the Mounties. A 2008 and 2009 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-American, Hansrote also picked up 2nd Team All-America honors in 2008 and 2009 from www.womensfieldhockey.com. In addition, she was named All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) 2nd team in 2007 and 2008 before earning 1st team honors during her senior campaign. Hansrote was also named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star team in 2009.
Before her impressive playing career at Mansfield, Hansrote was named Pennridge’s Outstanding Female Athlete. A three-year varsity letter winner in field hockey and soccer (played in the spring); she was named 2nd Team All-League and co-captain in 2005. She also won the Most Improved Player during her senior year.
A member of USA Field Hockey, Hansrote is a coach, umpire and player in the national association. She also holds a Level 1 Umpiring Certification from USA Field Hockey Umpiring Academy that she attained in 2012.
Hansrote resides in Wyomissing with her husband, Nick.
