PREVIEW | Kutztown set to face Gannon in PSAC semifinals at Slippery Rock

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The No. 4 ranked and PSAC East's top seed, Kutztown women's soccer team travels to Slippery Rock to face the West's two seed, Gannon, in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 6, at 10am, with a spot in Sunday's PSAC Championship game on the line.

Kutztown (16-1-1 overall, 12-1-1 PSAC), enters Friday's matchup after earning a 3-0 shutout victory over the West's four seed, Edinboro, in Tuesday's quarterfinal round.  Maura Day (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Abington) led the way offensively with two goals, while Carly Louey (Hanover, Pa./South Western) set up Corinne Morgan (Port Republic, N.J./Cedar Creek) for the first goal in the match.

The Maroon and Gold have reached the PSAC Championship game in each of the last two seasons and bring a strong postseason history into Friday's matchup. Having advanced to the PSAC semifinals 12 times in program history they will look to build on that success as they pursue a conference title.

Gannon enters the semifinal matchup following a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over the East's three seed, Shepherd. The Golden Knights hold a 14-2-3 overall record with a 12-2-2 mark in conference play.

The Golden Bears and Golden Knights have a postseason history, with KU holding a 12-3 advantage in the all-time series. The two programs met twice during the 2024 postseason, splitting those matchups. Kutztown defeated Gannon 2-1 in the PSAC semifinals before falling 3-2 in the NCAA Division II Championship's second round. KU will look to avenge that loss and continue its postseason run on Friday.

Tickets are required for Friday's semi-final and must be purchased online through Hudl Tickets using the link on the Kutztown women's soccer schedule page. Ticket prices are set at $12 for adults and $7 for students in grades K-12. Students from PSAC Member Institutions with valid, current IDs will be admitted free of charge, as will PSAC Passholders. The event is cashless, and advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Tickets will also be available at the venue. All sales are final, with no refunds.

The winner of Friday's semifinal game will face the winner between top seeded West Slippery Rock and East second seed West Chester. The game will take place in Slippery Rock on Sunday, Nov. 8, for the PSAC Championship game.
