PREVIEW | SEMIFINAL SATURDAY as East’s #1 seed Kutztown meets West’s #2 seed and 17th-ranked Gannon

EDINBORO, Pa. – Kutztown took down West Chester for the second time in a span of five days Wednesday night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division quarterfinal to advance to this weekend's PSAC final four. KU will matchup against defending conference champion and No. 17 Gannon, the second seed from the Western Division at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Edinboro University's McComb Fieldhouse.
 
The Golden Bears (20-11 overall) won their 20th game Wednesday for the first time in three seasons and just the second time since 2008-09. They will be playing in their seventh PSAC semifinal under head coach Janet Malouf and first since 2021-22, a defeat to the Golden Knights.
 
Tickets must be purchased online via this link, or the one above, and fans are encouraged to purchase them prior to arrival at McComb Fieldhouse for the fastest and easiest entry. Prices are set at $10 for adults and $5 for students (k-12), while students from PSAC member Institutions with current, valid ID will be admitted free of charge. There will be no complimentary tickets, however, PSAC passes will be honored.
 
The 2025 PSAC Women's Basketball Tournament is once again a cashless event, and all sales are final.
 
The two teams have met in each of the last three seasons, with Gannon holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. Last season, the Golden Knights won on their home floor, 82-70, while the season prior, the Golden Bears were victorious 55-54 at Keystone. They had a PSAC semifinal round matchup on March 5, 2002, with Gannon leaving Kutztown with a 55-47 win.
 
Kutztown defeated the Golden Rams 63-50 in the quarters and Gannon (25-5) beat No. 23 Seton Hill 60-52 in another quarterfinal round game. Both teams had byes in the First Round.
 
This past Wednesday, Kutztown was ranked eighth in the final NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional poll to decide who makes the NCAA Tournament. Eight teams from the region will go dancing with Selection Sunday set for this Sunday, March 9.
