KUTZTOWN, Pa. –
Leila Hurley (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe),
Olivia Smelas (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe),
Taylor Gurysh (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and
Ariana Smuda (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) were all selected to the 2025-26 College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team for their successes on the court and in the classroom.
It is the second honor for Hurley and first for Smelas, Gurysh and Smuda.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
Hurley is a senior guard majoring in elementary education with a 3.88 GPA.
Smelas is a senior center majoring in business administration with a concentration in accounting/management.
Gurysh is a junior guard and sport management major, sporting a 3.72 GPA.
Smuda is a junior center majoring in communication studies with a 3.93 GPA.
