LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a weekend outing that featured four pins and a team-high 30 team points at the season-opening Tonee Ellis Memorial Tournament, redshirt junior Nic Allison (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) of the seventh-ranked Kutztown University wrestling team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Wrestling Athlete of the Week, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 

The 125-pound Allison picked up six points in each of his five bouts on his way to the 125-pound crown at this weekend's tournament, a performance that included four pins in his last four matches. He claimed his quartet of pins in the first period, averaging 47 seconds per fall.
 

The Lewistown, Pa., native had his most dominant showing in the semifinal round against Alvernia's Rocco Monteferrante, defeating the home crowd's 125-pound wrestler in 25 seconds. It stands as Allison's second-fastest pin of his career, two seconds short of a Super Region 1 victory in his redshirt freshman season.
 

Allison also had a 30-second pin of Bethany's Angelo Di Pol in the second round, while securing his first-place finish with a pin of Muhlenberg's CJ Horvath.
 

The grappler's 30 team point contribution helped the Maroon and Gold top the team standings with 241.5 points, ahead of second place Gettysburg (209.5) and third place Alvernia (164.5).
 

Allison and the Golden Bears look ahead to the "Shorty" Hitchcock Classic, hosted by Millersville University, on Saturday, Nov. 15, beginning at 10 a.m. inside the Student Memorial Center. The season's first dual competition will take place in the home opener on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. against Seton Hill inside Keystone Arena.
