LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Kutztown University's
Jhaisir Harden (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) was selected as the PSAC East Football Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career, Monday.
Harden registered his first career pick six, Saturday, helping No. 4 Kutztown to its third straight PSAC East title with a 49-6 victory over East Stroudsburg.
Two plays after the Golden Bears had taken a 14-0 lead, Harden made a leaping interception near midfield and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown to push KU's advantage to 21-0 as part of a 28-point second quarter. It was Harden's second interception in as many games after making the first of his career Oct. 25, at West Chester.
The safety from Glassboro, N.J., also had three solo tackles in the win.
Harden is Kutztown's second PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week this season. Linebacker
Austin Leyman (Elmer, N.J./Woodstown) earned the award on Sept. 22. The Golden Bears have also been honored with three Offensive Athlete of the Week and three Special Teams Athlete of the Week awards in 2025.
