BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Kutztown women's volleyball secured its second straight set victory of the week, this time in PSAC East action as KU went on the road and swept Bloomsburg Friday night at Nelson Field House.

The Golden Bears (10-9 overall, 2-3 PSAC East) won by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-23. The Huskies (7-12, 0-7) made it closer and closer each set, but KU was consistently able to close them out to secure the victory, finished off by a
Paige Skinner (Placerville, Calif./Ponderosa) kill for the final point.

Madilyn Bogovic (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished with a team-high 14 kills, four blocks and a service ace. Skinner recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs, while adding five aces and an assist.
Grace White (Pennsburg, Pa./Quakertown) tallied seven kills and
Alex Haskins (State College, Pa./State College) had six kills and six digs.
Emma Baldridge (Damascus, Md./Damascus) totaled 39 assists and eight digs.
Saige Thibodeaux (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida S. Baker) contributed 21 digs and two assists.

In the opening set, outside of a 1-1 tie, Kutztown led throughout and claimed victory on a 4-0 rally with the score 21-20, off kills by Bogovic and White, along with two Bloomsburg attack errors.

The Maroon and Gold faced adversity for the first time in set two as they trailed for the first time during the match, and by as many as six points. Kutztown scored eight of the first 13 points overall, but the Huskies rallied for five points in-a-row and eight of the next nine to go on top 13-9. They took their largest lead of the night at 18-12 before the Golden Bears answered on a 7-3 run. With the score 21-19 in favor of BU, Kutztown finished the set on a 6-0 run, highlighted by kills from
Lauren Montgomery (Norristown, Pa./Mount Saint Joseph Academy), Bogovic and Haskins, along with back-to-back aces by Skinner.

The third set began with another Bloomsburg rally, recording four of the first five points before KU answered with four consecutive points coming from two kills by Haskins and two aces from Skinner to give their team its first lead of the set at 5-4. After the Huskies took back the lead, a Montgomery kill tied the score 7-7 before the Maroon and Gold never trailed the rest of the way.
