KUTZTOWN, Pa. --Â The sixth annual 1866 Minute Giving Challenge will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, and Kutztown University athletics is calling on Golden Bears everywhere for their support.
The 1866 Minute Giving Challenge, which began in 2019, is the university's largest annual giving event. KU deviated from typical annual one-day events by uniquely tying the university's founding year to the challenge.
Participation is key to the event's success. Every contribution is important, no matter the amount. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, family and friends are encouraged to take part in showing the strength of a Golden Bear. KU raised nearly $570,000 during last year's challenge, which supports scholarships, experiential learning, academics, arts, athletics and more. Making a gift to the general athletics fund, or a specific athletic program, helps foster championship-level experiences for our Golden Bear student-athletes.
Any gift received on the giving platform, by phone, made in person or received in the mail Oct. 15-16 counts towards the 1866 Minute Giving Challenge!
Making a gift on the fundraising page is easy. Gifts can be made through PayPal, Venmo, credit card, and other digital payment options.
