KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's volleyball team came in ranked No. 7 in the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the conference office Thursday.
Kutztown finished the 2023 season with a 10-17 overall record in head coach
Allison Keeley's second season at the helm. They look to make a return to the PSAC playoffs in 2024, as they ended last season two wins shy of the dance.
The Golden Bears will have three seniors leading the way in
Grace Ingram (Allentown, Pa./William Allen),
Anna Parmer (Firestone, Colo./Mead), and
Julia Post (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge). The squad looks to ride a defensive wave this season, as Ingram (51) and Post (37) were the team's leaders in blocks last season.
The East is led by reigning regular season champion Shippensburg, who received five of the eight first place votes. Reigning conference tournament champion Gannon tops the West and earned six of the eight first place votes, with tournament runner-up Clarion coming right behind the Golden Knights in the Western Division.
Kutztown begins the season at home, hosting a non-conference match against Felician on Friday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. at Keystone Arena. They open conference play at East Stroudsburg on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
