KUTZTOWN, Pa. – During the summer months, Kutztown athletics takes a break from competition. So, what do Golden Bear student-athletes like to do in their down time? Over the next month, we will be catching up with some KU Golden Bears.
 
Ally Sipe (York, Pa./Central York) – Women's Bowling – Senior
 
What is your favorite thing about summer?
- My favorite thing about summer is the weather and going to the beach.
 
What is your favorite thing to do during the summer?
- My favorite thing to do in the summer is spending time outside. I like to go swimming and hiking.
 
Favorite vacation spot you've been to? One place you haven't been to yet, but would like to?
- My favorite vacation spot is Ocean City, MD, because my family goes there every year.
I would love to go to Hawaii one day. I think it would be cool to go hiking to see different waterfalls.
 
What have you been up to/current plans this summer from a sport perspective?
- This summer I am in a Thursday morning league with one of my friends. I also have been practicing at the bowling alley.
 
What's a song you can jam out to that makes you feel like it's summer?
- One of my favorite songs this summer has been "Sandpaper," by Zach Bryan.
 
What do you miss about KU during the summer months?
- The main thing I miss about KU during the summer is being able to see my friends every day!
 
Favorite place to be on campus when it's a nice, sunny and warm day?
- My favorite place to be on campus on a hot day is the DMZ lawn.
 
Favorite summer dessert/treat?
- My favorite summer dessert is ice cream!
 
Favorite way to keep cool during the summer?
- My favorite way to keep cool is by going swimming or going to the beach!
 
Any summer traditions you do with friends/family that you enjoy?
- Every summer my family has a cookout on the 4th of July. We spend time as a family which we don't get to do often so it is a lot of fun!
 
What do you look forward to most about returning to KU in August?
- The thing I am looking forward to the most is seeing my friends and making my final memories of my college career.
