KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown women's volleyball took a break from conference action and hosted Jefferson Wednesday night in a non-conference match inside Keystone Arena, falling in straight sets.

The Golden Bears (1-20 overall) lost 25-10, 25-17, 25-11. Their lone victory of the season so far came in non-league competition, defeating Caldwell 3-1 back on Sept. 30, at Keystone Arena.

KU finished with a .010 hit percentage, second lowest of the season and amassed 22 kills to the Rams' 34. Jefferson also had a 14-2 advantage in service aces.

Grace White (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown),
Sarah Hess (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and
Bryanna Carter (Abingdon, Md./Edgewood) all tallied team-highs of five kills with White adding a team-best three total blocks, along with
Christina Lockett (Gaithersburg, Md./Tuscarora).
Lexi McLanahan (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) recorded 11 digs to lead the defense. Sage Thibodeaux contributed nine assists and
Emma Baldridge (Damascus, Md./Damascus) had seven.

Kutztown returns to competition in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in its next match and will remain at Keystone Arena as it welcomes East Stroudsburg to town for a 7 p.m., match this Friday night.
