PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School) and Bieke Roovers (Leiden, Netherlands/Leonardo College) each won in their singles matchups to lead the Kutztown women's tennis team in a 5-2 defeat at Chestnut Hill Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match.
 
Roovers was tested at No. 2 singles and was taken to the brink, finishing off the victory 7-6 (4), 3-6, 10-3. De Nadai claimed a victory after just having to win one set, 6-2.
 
The Griffins earned wins in the other four singles matches and tallied the point at doubles by winning all three.
 
Kutztown will finally make its home debut Monday, Oct. 14, after two previously scheduled home matches earlier this fall were postponed. KU will host Daemen at 2 p.m., from Keystone Courts.
