KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown women's basketball had season-highs in made three-pointers (15) and points (85) and shot 51.8% (29-for-56) from the floor, leading from start to finish in dispatching of Shepherd Wednesday night, 85-44, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division game inside Keystone Arena.

It is the fourth straight victory for the Golden Bears (11-9 overall, 9-5 PSAC), who won their previous three games all on the road.

The 85 points is the most scored in a game since the 2019-20 team that netted 86 in a win at Millersville on Jan. 8, 2020. The Maroon and Gold have connected from distance 15 times once in each of the last three seasons and last had more back on Feb. 19, 2020, when they hit 17 3's against West Chester.

Not much went wrong for KU on Wednesday, which led from start to finish and had all nine players that saw the floor get into the score column. The game started with a
Naia Pulliam (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) made layup 0:45 into the game and ended 83 points later with a
Taylor Gurysh (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) three.

Gurysh led a quartet in double figures, finishing with a season-high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 5-for-8 from distance. She also grabbed four rebounds. Pulliam and
Leila Hurley (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe) both tallied 13 points with Hurley going 3-for-4 from three-point land.
Olivia Smelas (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe) recorded 12 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Kutztown scored seven of the first nine points in the opening 3:47 and ended the first quarter with a commanding 24-8 advantage. KU was out in front 38-19 at halftime and outscored the Rams (5-14, 3-10) 33-11 in the final frame.

Sydney Pierson (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and
Zara Zerman (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) both ended with seven points with the former collecting 14 rebounds, tying a career-high.
Shannon Remolde (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Basil Academy) and
Bella Arcuri (Fallsington, Pa./Pennsbury) each scored six points and two steals. Remolde had four rebounds and a career-high four assists, while Arcuri dished out a career-best five assists.
Alicia Underkoffler (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) scored the first points of her career and rounded out the KU scoring with four points.
