INDIANA, Pa. – Third-ranked Kutztown Field Hockey was looking to start another positive run of victories after last Tuesday's defeat at No. 1 East Stroudsburg. Mission accomplished Saturday afternoon as KU traveled out west and took down Indiana (Pa.) 5-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference game.

The Golden Bears (7-1 overall, 2-1 PSAC) took control of the game with two first-quarter goals out of
Mackenzie Kile (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) and
Sarah Gatehouse (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson). It was the third goal for each.
Grace Harrold (York, Pa./Central York) assisted on Gatehouse's tally.

After scoreless second and third quarters, Kutztown put the game out of reach with three goals in the fourth quarter, recorded by
Jillian Buchman (Drums, Pa./Hazleton),
Megan Doyle (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) and
Sierra Jester (Felton, Del./Lake Forest), the first career goal for Jester the sophomore.
Juliana Donato (Cedarville, N.J./Schalick),
Jessica Traynor (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Andie Sierer (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) all contributed assists in the quarter.

Kutztown outshot IUP 8-4 overall and 6-4 on goal, while holding an 11-7 edge in penalty corners.
Mia Kepler (Wall Township, N.J./Wall) made four saves in cage for the Maroon and Gold. It's the seventh shutout of the season for KU.

Kutztown returns home after two straight games on the road and will open up a three-game homestand by hosting nationally-ranked Bloomsburg next Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m., from Andre Reed Stadium. KU will also welcome Coker that Friday for a non-conference game at 4 p.m., before finishing the homestand against nationally-ranked Shippensburg on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m.
