Box Score 2 FLORENCE, S.C. – Kutztown softball hit the road south and suffered two setbacks Saturday afternoon on day one of a two-day Francis Marion Patriot Invitational in Florence, S.C.

Kutztown will take on the same two teams in the same order tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 19, beginning at 1 p.m., with the Adelphi game. Francis Marion is set for 3 p.m.

Adelphi scored all of its runs in the bottom of the sixth inning after
Sarah Harvey (Swanton, Vt./Missisquoi Valley Union), who started inside the circle, threw five innings of shutout ball, allowing just three hits. But the Panthers broke open a 0-0 deadlock with four runs on five hits and then recorded three outs in four KU batters in the top of the seventh to take the game.

Brianna Stocklin (Deptford, N.J./Deptford Township), Harvey,
Kristin Geesey (Bainbridge, Pa./Elizabethtown) and
Naya Darnowski (Manchester, N.J./Manchester Township) each had a hit for KU, all in three at-bats.
