KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's tennis team overcame two different deficits to end its season with a 4-3 non-conference victory over Davis & Elkins Saturday at the Keystone Courts.

Kutztown (5-10) got off to a fast start in doubles with

Carter Nettina pushed D&E's lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 win over
Jess Marks (Allentown, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) at third singles before
Catherine Maher (Shillington, Pa./Berks Catholic), playing in her final match for KU, outlasted Eloise Hutton 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-4 at No. 2 and Lazarchak rallied past Cara Long at No. 4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, to tie the match.
Taylour Newman restored the Senators' lead in another match that went three sets. Newman held off the Bears'
Claudia Makarski (Garfield, N.J./Paramus Catholic) 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 1.
