The PSAC announces women’s lacrosse preseason poll

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's lacrosse team is set to open its 2022 season in less than a month and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its preseason poll with KU coming in at seven in the East Division, as voted on by the head coaches.
 
The Golden Bears finished 2021 at 1-12 overall and 1-11 in the PSAC. They begin a new regime this season under first-year head coach Kristen Nicholson.
 
PSAC Women's Lacrosse features two divisions with both consisting of seven teams. Each team plays the six other teams in the division twice, home and away. The East consists of Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, KU, Millersville, Shepherd, Shippensburg and West Chester.
 
West Chester was picked first with four first-place votes, followed by East Stroudsburg with two and Bloomsburg with one. Shippensburg was voted fourth, Millersville fifth and Shepherd was sixth.
 
Kutztown opens its season at home against Caldwell in non-conference action at Keystone Field on Thursday, March 3.
