National Poll
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Winners of four straight games and 13 of its last 14 overall, the Kutztown University women's basketball team has risen in the latest Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) national poll, up to No. 21, three spots higher than last week. KU stays second in the Atlantic Regional poll.
The Golden Bears are 19-4 overall and 12-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, sitting atop the East Division, one-and-a-half games ahead of Bloomsburg (15-8, 13-4). This is the highest the program has ever been ranked on the national stage.
KU won both of its games last week, both inside Keystone Arena. It first took down East Stroudsburg 54-36 last Wednesday, Feb. 2, and followed that up with a 60-46 victory over Lock Haven three days later.
Kutztown next plays tomorrow night, Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 5:30 p.m., at Millersville.
