GOING DANCING | Kutztown Women’s Soccer earns NCAA spot for second straight season

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – For the second year in-a-row, Kutztown women's soccer has earned the right to play for a national championship, as KU received an at-large bid in the Atlantic Regional in the NCAA Tournament as the seventh seed, announced Monday night.
 
The Golden Bears finished the regular season 9-5-4 overall. They have now earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament in 10 of the last 13 years, including a three-year stretch from 2016-18, and for the 11th time overall.
 
Kutztown's First Round game will be against the second seed, Frostburg State (18-1-2), played at Gannon on Friday, Nov. 11, at 12 p.m.. The other game in the pod features third seed and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference runner-up and the third seed, the Golden Knights (14-3-4) against the sixth seed, Fairmont State (12-3-5).
 
On the other side of the Atlantic Regional bracket, top seed West Chester receives a bye into the Second Round and will take on the winner of the four seed, Bloomsburg, and the five seed, West Virginia State.
