National Poll
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's soccer team won a pair of one-score, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference games last week, one of which was in double overtime on the road. KU remained in the top-five of Division II, staying at fourth overall in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, released Tuesday.
The Golden Bears (6-0 overall, 4-0 PSAC) are undefeated, having taken down Millersville 2-1 in double overtime last Wednesday, Sept. 22, followed by a 1-0 shutout victory over Shippensburg this past Saturday, Sept. 25, at Keystone Field.
Against the Marauders, sophomore
Isabella Rossetti (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career with just 6:50 left to tie the score at 1-1. Senior forward
Brittany Arentz (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) scored the game-winning goal for KU.
Sophomore
Melissa Ulrich (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) scored the game's only goal against the Raiders off assists by
Sydney Cole (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) and
Bridget Curtis (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South).
Kutztown is at Bloomsburg University tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 29, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
