KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kylee MacLeod (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) of the eighth-ranked Kutztown University women's soccer team netted the game-winner last Saturday at East Stroudsburg University and the junior defender was in the middle of a defense that earned two shutouts last week. For her efforts, MacLeod was voted the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.
 
MacLeod scored her first career goal in the 16th minute against the Warriors to put the Golden Bears (4-0 overall, 2-0 PSAC) on the board in the 4-0 win. MacLeod and the Kutztown defense kept both of their opponents off the board this week, also blanking Millersville 1-0 last Wednesday night. The Maroon and Gold is off to their best start to a season since 2017 when they won their first 13 games.
 
Kutztown hosts Shepherd in a PSAC game on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m., at Keystone Field.
