In the latest Atlantic Region ranking, released on May 12, the Golden Bears (32-13 overall) were ranked first, ahead of fellow Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foes Shepherd, West Chester and East Stroudsburg, rounding out the top-four.
 
For the first time since 2013, the NCAA Division II Softball Championship tournament is coming to Kutztown University.
 
The NCAA has selected Kutztown and North Campus Field as the host site for the 2021 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship, which will run from Wednesday, May 19 through Saturday, May 22.
 
Gone this year is the Super Regional round, which Kutztown hosted and won in 2013 on its way to a national runner-up finish. Instead, the Atlantic Regional will be a six-team tournament that produces the region's representative at the NCAA Division II National Championship.
 
The NCAA Division II Softball National Championship begins Thursday, May 27, and will be played at the Regional Athletic Complex in Denver, Colo. Metropolitan State University of Denver is the host institution.
