KUTZTOWN, Pa. –
Albert Glasgow (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood),
Devin Hannan (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) and
Dean Krcic (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion Kutztown University football team, were named Thursday, to the 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region 1 Second Team as voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Â
Glasgow earned first team honors, while both Hannan and Krcic were voted to the second team. It is the first D2CCA All-Region recognition for the trio, which all received first team All-PSAC honors as well.
Â
Glasgow, KU's center, and Hannan, a guard, are staples in the KU offensive line that have helped pave the way for a rushing attack that ranks second in the PSAC at 191.1 yards per game. Kutztown also ranks seventh in total offense with 368.3 yards per game, scoring 25.2 points per game.
Â
Krcic has proven to be one of the best punters in the nation this season. His 42.5 yards per punt is first in the conference. Krcic has punted 55 times for 2,337 yards and has 183 punts for 7,645 yards in his career, fourth-most in program history. He has been voted East Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week twice this season.
Â
The D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Teams are prestigious in that there are a small number of honorees – 25 players earn First Team classifications, and 25 players are selected to the Second Team. Of the offensive skill positions for example, just two quarterbacks, four running backs, four wide receivers and two tight ends are selected to represent the best of Super Region 1 – which includes all the football schools in four conferences (PSAC, MEC, NE-10, G-MAC). Of the 50 players selected to the 2021 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Teams, 23 were from the PSAC, 10 from the G-MAC, 10 from the NE-10 and seven from the MEC.
Â
Kutztown hosts Shepherd in the Super Region I championship game and NCAA quarterfinal this Saturday, Dec. 4, at 12:05 p.m., from Andre Reed Stadium.
