KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's soccer team remained first in the Atlantic Region in the NCAA's final edition of its regional rankings, through games played to Nov. 8. KU also stayed third in the latest United Soccer Coaches national poll.
The Golden Bears (17-1-1 overall) were knocked out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament in the Quarterfinal Round Tuesday night, Nov. 9, as Millersville advanced in a penalty shootout. This latest batch of regional rankings does not include Tuesday's game.
KU has qualified for the NCAA Tournament eight times in its history, including a three-year stretch from 2016-18. The NCAA Tournament begins Nov. 17-18.
Seven teams will be selected from the Atlantic Region to compete in the NCAA Tournament, with the No. 1 seed earning a bye in the first round. Conference champions from the PSAC and Mountain East Conference earn automatic qualification into the tournament.
Kutztown will find out its fate in NCAAs when the Selection Show takes place at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 15.
