WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's volleyball team was upended at West Chester University on Saturday in straight sets in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division match at Hollinger Fieldhouse.

Scores of the match were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-16 in favor of the Golden Rams (15-5 overall, 5-3 PSAC East). The Golden Bears fall to 7-12 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC East.

Kutztown held a lead of 12-11 in the opening set, but West Chester scored six straight points to take control and win the opener. In the second set, WCU scored six of the first seven points and continue its surge towards victory. In the third set, KU went out on top 6-4 early, but the Golden Rams scored five points in-a-row and finished off the set win.

Sophia Basler (Dover, Del./Smyrna) led the KU attack with 13 kills, followed by 10 from
Erin Patterson (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and six by
Lauren Jackson (Stafford, Va./Mountain View). Jackson also added two blocks, with
Grace Ingram (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) totaling three.
Lexi Morrow (Landisburg, Pa./West Perry) contributed 25 assists and
Sydney Wilson (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) tallied 10 digs and four assists.
Alexa Feorene (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) recorded four assists.

Kutztown remains on the road to take on East Stroudsburg next Friday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., from Koehler Fieldhouse.
