HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The Kutztown University women's tennis team dropped its Monday afternoon match to Quincy University, 7-0, at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
The Golden Bears were competitive throughout their lineup, but couldn't generate any of their hard work into match victories.
In doubles play, KU's (1-4) No. 2 team of
Catherine Maher (Shillington, Pa./Berks Catholic) and
Amanda Grebosky (Reisterstown, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) fell by a pair of games, 6-4, to Anna Konczak and Marta Cabellero Garcia.
Grebosky won the Maroon and Gold's lone set in singles, 6-1, in the opening set at No. 4 against Caballero Garcia. The Quincy (3-4) junior eventually rallied for a 1-6, 7-6 (5), 10-7 victory in a super tiebreaker.

Sarah Grebosky (Reisterstown, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) each won five games in their respective matches.
Kutztown will try to get back in the win column on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. when it meets up with Illinois Wesleyan at the Evian Tennis Center.
