BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore
Evan Adanatzian (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) of the Kutztown University men's cross country team had the program's best finish in leading KU to fifth place at the 8k Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships Friday afternoon at Bloomsburg University.

The Golden Bears, who entered the meet ninth in the latest Atlantic Region rankings, outperformed that ranking in a big way, jumping IUP, which was ranked third, but finished seventh at PSACs.

Adanatzian placed second overall out of a field of 139 total runners in a personal-best time of 25:29.8. Junior
Andrew Sulon (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) also earned All-PSAC First Team honors, finishing 15th in a personal-best time of 26:16.8.

It is the first time since 2002 that head coach
Ray Hoffman has had two All-PSAC First Teamers at PSACs.

Senior
AJ Kilpatrick (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) just missed out on Second Team recognition, crossing the finish line in 36th at 26:54.8. Freshman
Ryan Smith (North Plainfield, N.J./North Plainfield) finished inside the top-50 of the field in his first conference championship meet, ending in 44th at 27:06.3.

Nate Burkhart (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) and junior
Teagan Fortna (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) both ran to season-best times Friday.

Kutztown will next compete in the NCAA Atlantic Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the West Branch cross country course at Lock Haven University.
