SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 12th meeting between Kutztown and California (PA) and the first since the 2016 PSAC Championship game. KU was 7-0-1 in the first eight games against the Vulcans, but has dropped three-straight in 2012, 2013 and 2016. Kutztown and California (PA) played every year from 1990-97, with the Golden Bears winning the last five meetings following a 30-30 tie in 1992.
WINNING PROGRAMS: Kutztown enters Saturday's game 16-4 in its last 20 games, tied for second-best in the PSAC with Shippensburg and only trailing IUP (18-2). California (PA) is 15-5 in its last 20 games.
1-0: Kutztown is 1-0 for the first time since 2012. KU has not been 2-0 since 2011, when it won its first PSAC Championship.
NATIONAL WIN: KU defeated #17 Assumption on the road last week, KU's first win over a nationally-ranked program since 2014 (#20 IUP).
PSAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Reynolds ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns last week, including the game-winner in the final minutes, earning him this week's PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week award - his fifth career weekly honor.
LONG RUN: In last week's win at Assumption, Reynolds ran for a 77-yard touchdown in the first half. It was the longest run of his career and KU's longest since a school-record 98-yard run by Terry Williams in 2015.
HUNT FOR 2,000: Reynolds needs 66 yards to be the 13th player in school history to run for 2,000 yards in a career.
ALL-PURPOSE BACK: Reynolds is a two-time All-PSAC and All-Region running back. He ranks on 11 career leaderboards at KU, in addition to his single-game records for rushing and all-purpose yards. He ranks fifth in school history with 3,781 all-purpose yards.
SUPER SULLIVAN: In his first game as a senior and team captain,
Conor Sullivan (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) hauled in seven catches for a career-high 133 yards in KU's win over Assumption - his first career 100-yard game.
50-YARD CATCHES: Amadou Barry (Upper Darby, Pa./West Catholic Prep) (52) and
Ryan Hubley (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) (51) each caught 50-yard passes last week, the first time KU has had two players with 50-yard catches in a game since 2015 vs. Shippensburg.
INTO THE BACKFIELD: Kutztown had seven sacks in last week's win, the most in a game for KU since 2016 and tied for the sixth-most in school history.

STOPPING THE RUN: Under head coach
Jim Clements, KU is 14-2 when holding its opponent to less than 100 yards rushing. His only losses were to Mercyhurst in 2016, and at West Chester in 2017.
RECORD-BREAKING RUN DEFENSE: KU held opponents to a school-record 86.7 rushing yards per game last year, breaking the previous record from the modern era of 97.2 in 1995.
EXTRA POINT RECORD: Alec Rosenfeld (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) broke the school-record last year for career PATs with 142.
TIGHT END TOUCHDOWNS: Jack Pilkerton (La Plata, Md./La Plata (Golden West)) had three touchdown catches last season. He is KU's first tight end with multiple touchdowns in a season since Dan Onorato in 2007.
LESS THAN 100 RUSHING YARDS: Under Coach Clements, KU is 14-2 when holding teams to less than 100 rushing yards.
HOT HAND: Shawn Turber-Ortiz (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) had six interceptions as a redshirt-freshman last year, a KU freshman record.
PUT THOSE FLAGS AWAY: Kutztown had the most penalty yardage in the PSAC at 86.7 per game last year.
THIRD-YEAR QB: Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) is a three-year starting and All-PSAC quarterback. Through 21 career games, DiGalbo ranks on KU's career leaderboards in career passing yards (3,917, 6th in KU history), passing touchdowns (30, 6th), completions (327, 6th) and pass attempts (523, 11th).
DUAL-THREAT QB: DiGalbo is on pace to run for more than 1,000 yards in his career, a feat no KU quarterback has ever accomplished. On the ground, he holds four school-rushing-records for a quarterback – touchdowns in a game (3) and season (8), longest run (82) and most rushing yards in a game (126). He has run for 685 career yards with 14 touchdowns, as KU's career QB records stand at 878 yards and 19 touchdowns.
WINNING QUARTERBACK: Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) holds a record of 13-4 as a starting quarterback.
TACKLING TJ: Tajier Jefferson (East Orange, N.J./Queen of Peace) is a four-year All-PSAC starting linebacker and a two-year team captain. He posted a career-high 86 tackles last year and ranks 15th in school history with 242 career tackles and 38.5 tackles-for-loss. He has only missed one game in his career.
STARTING LINEBACKER: Jefferson has made 32 consecutive starts at linebacker, the longest streak on the team and third-longest active streak in the PSAC.
BALL HAWK: Junior cornerback
Ahkee Cox-Cowan (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) was named All-PSAC East First Team and All-Region Second Team last year. He broke the school-record with 20 passes defended and 17 breakups. He ranks fifth in school history with 25 career breakups.
PRIMETIME PUNTER: Dean Krcic (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) ranked second in school history as a freshman last year with a punting average of 42.3 yards. He was named All-PSAC East Second Team and All-Region Third Team.
MAGIC NUMBER = 24: KU head coach
Jim Clements is 21-1 in his Kutztown career when holding opponents to 24 or fewer points. His only loss was to Mercyhurst in 2016 (23-19).

INTERCEPTION LEADER: Jake Perry (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) leads KU with 10 career interceptions, eighth in school history. He was an All-PSAC East First Team safety as a sophomore in 2016.

Alec Rosenfeld (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) was an All-PSAC and All-Region kicker his freshman campaign in 2014, when he set school-records for field goal percentage in a season and field goals in a game. He has kicked a school-record nine PATs in a game three times and is the career record-holder with 142 and counting. He has made 23 field goals in his career, one shy of second all-time in school history.
EARLY LEAD: Kutztown has led at halftime in 31 of its last 34 wins. KU's two comeback wins over that time were at Indiana (PA) in 2015, and at Shippensburg in 2016. It was once tied at halftime at Bloomsburg in 2017.
PASS ATTACK: Dating back to 2011, Kutztown has thrown 30 or more pass attempts in 50 of its last 66 games (75.8 percent).
OVERTIME HEARTBREAK: KU is 3-9 all-time in overtime (OT). It played its first three OT games in 1996, but KU's first OT win was a 26-23 victory over Millersville in 3-OT in the final game of 2007. KU's most recent OT win was in 2-OT in 2016 at Shippensburg. KU's most recent OT game was in 2016, a 24-21 win in double-overtime at Shippensburg.
HAPPY 103rd BIRTHDAY: 2018 marks the 103rd season of Kutztown University football. Beginning in 1895, Kutztown's all-time record in 841 games stands at 377-441-23 (.462).
