KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The sixth-ranked Kutztown University field hockey team has been itching to get back out on the field in anticipation of its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinal Round matchup at Millersville University tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
The Golden Bears finished up their regular season slate at 14-4 overall, winners of five straight, and clinched a postseason berth for the first time since the 2015 season. KU was also 7-3 in conference play, as 2018 brought it its most wins both overall and in PSAC play since the 2007 campaign, the last time that the Maroon and Gold appeared in the NCAA Tournament. Kutztown has held separate win streaks of eight games and the current five-gamer this season.
The Kutztown offense is ranked in the top-five in the PSAC in goals scored with 51. The catalyst behind a majority of those tallies is junior
Kyra Wozniak (Plains, Pa./James M. Coughlin), who is enjoying a breakout season up top for the Golden Bears. She has totaled a career-high 21 goals, which ranks third in Division II and is tied for third for the most goals in a season in program history. She also leads the PSAC in points with 45 (21 goals, three assists).
Wozniak, along with freshman

Dusman has 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 points, the most by a freshman since the 2005 season when Lindsey Bozarth had 39. Her 12 assists leads the PSAC and is tied for third in program history for assists in a season.
Junior
Mackenzie Fuhrman (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) is just behind with 11 assists, second in the PSAC. She received PSAC co-Athlete of the Week honors on the week of Oct. 30, after scoring a goal and adding two assists in a two-win week that included defeating then-No. 1 West Chester University. Fuhrman has five goals on the year.
Sophomore
Alyssa Donato (Cedarville, N.J./Cumberland Regional) has double-digit points this season with four goals and two assists. Junior
Rose Moore (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) also had a multi-goal regular season with three goals.
Sophomore
Leigh Roselli (Romansville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) has contributed six assists as a defender, and junior
Molly Bobjak (New Castle, Del./Padua Academy) has added four assists.
The KU defense ranks second in the PSAC with just 15 goals allowed. In front of the cage, Kutztown has primarily featured two goals throughout the season that received a large chunk of the minutes.
Junior
Kerri Hanshaw (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) has started the last six games, winning the last five games. Her .778 save percentage ransk fifth in the PSAC. Freshman
Katie Dotterweich (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) has recorded nine victories this season and has a 0.86 goals against average, second in the PSAC.
Along with Roselli, senior
McKenna Conselyea (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) and junior
Hadley Wiktor (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) have all started at least 17 games along the defense for KU.
Kutztown will look to leave Millersville in better spirits than its last trip, a 2-1 defeat back on Oct. 9.
