KUTZTOWN, Pa. – To say that there is an important football game being played on the Kutztown University campus this weekend is an understatement. A nationally-ranked, top-15 matchup between the top-two teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division will take place between 15th-ranked Kutztown and 12th-ranked West Chester University on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12:05 p.m. at Andre Reed Stadium.

The winner will represent the East in the PSAC championship game on Saturday, Nov. 10.

The Golden Bears (7-0 overall, 4-0 PSAC East) are off to their best start to a season since 2010 when they started 9-0 on their way to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. They have won nine straight games dating back to last season. The Golden Rams (7-0, 4-0) have also won their first seven games this season.

The two teams were also ranked in the top-six in the first NCAA Division II Super Region One poll, released last Monday, Oct. 22. KU is second and West Chester is six.

Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) passed for a career-high 402 yards and three touchdowns, completing 72.7 percent of his passes on the day. The dual-threat quarterback also was effective on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and the late fourth-quarter score which put the game out of reach. DiGalbo's rushing touchdown puts him at 19 for his career and ties him with Kevin Morton for the most-ever by a KU quarterback.

KU racked up 531 yards on offense, passing for 409 and rushing for 122.

The Golden Rams are coming off a 53-24 win at East Stroudsburg University last weekend, where they scored the first 34 points of the game.

The Kutztown (39.4 ppg) and West Chester (39.1) offenses rank second and third respectively in the PSAC in scoring. The Golden Rams allow a league-low 14.6 points per game and KU is sixth at 23.3 ppg.

It is sure to be an exciting game in a playoff-like atmosphere.
