KUTZTOWN, Pa. – After its last game was postponed due to inclement weather, the Kutztown University men's basketball team returns to the court Wednesday night, Jan. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Keystone Arena to take on Mansfield University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action.

For KU fans, free admission will be provided to the game with the donation of canned goods or non-perishable items as part of KU's "Bears Who Care" initiative.

The Golden Bears (10-2 overall, 6-2 PSAC) had their game last Monday, Jan. 8 against Shippensburg University postponed due to inclement weather. KU is coming off a 91-89 victory over Edinboro University last Saturday, Jan. 6, where senior Ethan Ridgeway (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin), who recorded his 1,000th career point in the first half, connected on the game-winning shot with less than 0:01 remaining to give the Maroon and Gold their second straight win.

Ridgeway, who ended the afternoon with 18 points, also dished out 14 assists moving him into ninth in PSAC history in career assists with 558. He is also tied for second in Division II in assists per game (7.8) and fourth in DII in active career assist leaders. He is averaging 17.8 ppg, second on the team.

Along with Ridgeway, redshirt-junior Anthony Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) is climbing up the record books this season.

Lee is second in the PSAC in points per game (23.6) and fourth with 2.3 steals per game. His 55.7 percent from 3-point range ranks first in PSAC and leads Division II. He is also fifth in the PSAC in field goal percentage (58.4%), and was named this week's PSAC East Athlete of the Week.

Junior Dan Cuevas (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) is the third KU player scoring in double-figures a game (16.8). He is third in PSAC shooting 60.5% from the field.

Head coach Bernie Driscoll has run out a starting lineup of Ridgeway, Lee, Cuevas, Moe Williams (Townsend, Del./Life Center Academy) and Facundo Arens (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Bahia Blanca) the last three games, so expect to see a similar look to open up. Ricky Hicks (Coatesville, Pa./Polytech), Rafiq Marshall (Philadelphia, Pa./Simon Gratz (Cheyney)) and Max Wagner (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) have all averaged more than 15 minutes of action over the last two games, and continue to produce off the bench.

Kutztown, which ranks second in the PSAC in scoring offense (87.5 ppg), will have its hands full on the offensive end, as Mansfield enters seventh in the conference in points allowed (72.5 ppg). On the other hand, the Mountaineers are in the bottom-three in the league in scoring offense (69.4 ppg), and have scored more than 80 points just three times this season, compared to Kutztown doing it nine times.

The Mountaineers (4-8, 3-6) come in on a five-game losing streak, with their last defeat by just three points (70-67) last Monday against Millersville University, KU's next opponent.

Kutztown finds itself voted in two polls this week, fifth in the latest Division Two Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) Atlantic Regional Poll, and receiving votes in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II men's basketball poll.
