KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's basketball team had a five-game winning streak snapped last Saturday when it fell at the hands of East Stroudsburg University 101-95 on the road at Koehler Fieldhouse. It was the second longest run of victories this season, as it had a six-game winning streak within the first nine games of the year. KU will look to begin another stretch of wins when it hosts Lock Haven University on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Keystone Arena in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup.

The Golden Bears (13-3 overall, 9-3 PSAC), who recorded the third-highest points total this season, are second in the conference in scoring at 88.1 points per game (ppg), but the Warriors are tops in the league at 93.8 ppg. It was the highest scoring game in the series over the last decade.

Kutztown will look to keep the scoring going as it returns to the friendly confines of Keystone Arena Wednesday night, where it is undefeated, 9-0 this season and has won 36 of its last 38 home games dating back to Dec. 30, 2016.

The series over the last four years has been as even as it can get, with both teams going 4-4 against each other. Kutztown has won the last four meetings, while Lock Haven won the four outings prior.

Redshirt-freshman Moe Williams (Townsend, Del./Life Center Academy) had one of his best performances of his career at East Stroudsburg. He recorded his second double-double of the season, in tying a career-high with 14 points and setting a new high grabbing 16 rebounds, the most by a KU freshman since 2008. Nine of the 16 rebounds were offensive, the most by a KU player since 2010. Williams was also named the PSAC East Division Freshman of the Week, the second time this season.

Senior Ethan Ridgeway (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) scored 32 points against ESU, the second most of his career, and dished out six assists to give him 593 over his career, ranking seventh in PSAC history. He played all 40 minutes. His 8.0 assists per game is second in Division II. Max Wagner (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) blocked a career-high five shots versus the Warriors, and Facundo Arens (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Bahia Blanca) set season-high marks in points (four), rebounds (three), steals (three) and steals (one).

Redshirt-junior Anthony Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) contributed 21 points last game, making it 62-of-70 career starts he has recorded double-digits in points. He leads Division II in 3-point percentage (54.3%), on pace for PSAC record, and ranks first in free-throw percentage (93.0). His 22.5 ppg ranks seventh in KU history, third highest in the Driscoll era.

Lee is third in the PSAC in scoring (22.5 ppg), and the top scorer in the league is coming to town tomorrow night with the Bald Eagles (6-11, 4-9). Amir Hinton's 23.4 ppg ranks first in the conference and he has tallied 134 field goals this season, 12 more than Lee (122). KU will have to be aware of where Hinton is at all times on the court.

Lock Haven enters off an 86-62 victory over Cheyney University last Saturday. Hinton had 19 points in 34 minutes of action. Before the game against the Wolves, the Bald Eagles lost four straight games. They average 77.4 ppg, 12th in the PSAC.
