Game Notes | Live Stats | Watch

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end last Saturday, Dec. 30 when it fell on the road at undefeated West Chester University (10-0) 95-89.

The Golden Bears (8-2 overall, 4-2 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) will look to bounce back and start a new run of victories when they host Bloomsburg University (6-4, 2-4) in a PSAC East Division contest Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Keystone Arena.

The Huskies have not fared well inside of Keystone Arena, losing their last 15 games there, with the last victory coming on Jan. 23, 2002. KU won both meetings last season and five of the last six, and last suffered a setback against Bloomsburg on Feb. 10, 2016, falling 81-77 in overtime.

Kutztown ranks second in the PSAC in scoring offense, tallying 86.2 points per game (ppg) through its first 10 games of the season.

Redshirt-junior Anthony Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) is recording a team-high 22.4 ppg, third in the PSAC. His 55.6 shooting percentage from 3-point range ranks first in PSAC and is tied for fourth in Division II. He is also fifth in the PSAC in field goal percentage (60.0). Senior Ethan Ridgeway (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) (18.5 ppg) and junior Dan Cuevas (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) (17.5) are also averaging in double-figures in scoring, and sit at 12th and 13th in the league respectively. The trio are also ranked inside the top-18 in free-throw percentage with Lee (38-of-41), Ridgeway (50-of-58) and Cuevas (21-of-27) all shooting 77.8 percent or better.

Ridgeway is first in the PSAC in assists per game (7.4) and is 11th all-time in PSAC history with 539 career assists. He needs just 13 points to reach the 1,000 point plateau for his career.

The Maroon and Gold are allowing 75.7 ppg. Lee has had at least two steals in every game but one this season and ranks second in the conference in steals per game (2.7). Redshirt-freshman Moe Williams (Townsend, Del./Life Center Academy) is fifth in the PSAC in blocks per game (1.4).

Bloomsburg has won two straight and is coming off an 87-76 win at Lock Haven University last Saturday. BU is sixth in the league in scoring offense (80.6 ppg) and is led by redshirt-senior Christian Mortellite, who is scoring 21.7 ppg, good for fifth in the PSAC. He is the school's all-time leader in career three-pointers made (257) and is third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,701 career points. Mortellite is also eighth in the conference in rebounds per game (8.3).

Hashim Moore has averaged 14.7 ppg over the last seven games in his first season with the Huskies after transferring from Princeton University.

Kutztown sits in fourth place in the PSAC East Division standings, two games behind first place West Chester. Bloomsburg is sixth, two games back from KU.
