KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University has already won the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division men's basketball title and clinched a First Round bye and the No. 1 seed for next week's PSAC Tournament. KU can extend its historic winning streak Saturday and tune up for the postseason as it closes its regular season at West Chester University on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m.

KUR will be making the trip and providing live radio coverage of the Golden Bears' regular-season finale. Be sure to listen to the game here by clicking here.

The sixth-ranked Golden Bears (23-2, 19-2 PSAC) won their 15th game in a row and second-straight PSAC East title Wednesday night in an 85-79 road win at Bloomsburg. The division title is Kutztown's second in a row and sixth in the last 10 years. KU has clinched at least a share of the 2017 title and can win it outright with a win over West Chester on Saturday.

KU matched its second-longest winning streak in school history at 15, and broke the school-record with its 19th PSAC win of the season. KU won its 23rd game of the season Wednesday night, tying last year's team as the third-most wins in program history.

Momentum is certainly in Kutztown's favor, as it defeated West Chester a month ago on Jan. 25 by 35, 110-85. KU cannot gain any playoff advantage with a win Saturday, but it can win the PSAC East title outright and continue to build off its record-breaking season.

West Chester (13-13, 11-10) can clinch a home playoff game with a win Saturday and is on a bit of a roll of its own. Since the setback to Kutztown, the Golden Rams have won 5-of-7, including upsets over Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg – two of the top-three teams in the division. West Chester is coming off an 80-75 win at Millersville Wednesday night and is set to host its Senior Day Saturday at Hollinger Field House.

Kutztown has guaranteed itself a home playoff game on Wednesday, March 1 at 7 p.m. KU will host a PSAC Quarterfinal game for the second-straight year and can punch its ticket the PSAC Final Four in that game.
