Complete Game Notes
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 33rd meeting between the Golden Bears and the Bald Eagles, dating back to 1930. KU holds a nine-game winning streak in the head-to-head series, and Saturday will mark the fifth time the teams meet as Eastern Division foes. In the last four years of PSAC East play, Kutztown holds an average margin of victory of 15 points. Notably, Lock Haven has lessened the gap every year during the four-year span, from a 21-point loss in 2013, to a six-point defeat in 2016. KU leads the all-time series, 17-15, with Lock Haven's last win coming in 2002 at Lock Haven.
LAST WEEK: KU used a 21-point third quarter to run away with a 41-9 victory against East Stroudsburg last week at Andre Reed Stadium. The win pushed KU into a four-way tie atop the PSAC East. Kutztown tallied a season-high 560 total yards on offense, and held ESU to 185 - KU's second-lowest total of the year.
SHARING THE WEALTH: 11 different receivers caught a pass last week vs. ESU, the most for KU since Josh Luckenbaugh connected with 11 vs. West Chester in 2012.
TRENDING THE RIGHT DIRECTION: Kutztown's total defense has gone down each of the last three weeks. Entering Bloomsburg, KU was allowing 346 yards per game - 104 rushing. KU has steadily lowered those averages to 279 total yards and 89 rushing yards per game.
LESS THAN 100 RUSHING YARDS: The KU defense has not allowed 100 rushing yards in three-straight games. Under
Jim Clements, KU is 12-2 when holding teams to less than 100 rushing yards.
