KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's and men's basketball teams return to Keystone Arena Monday night, Jan. 9, to take on Cheyney University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action. Women's tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m., followed by the nationally-ranked men at 7:30 p.m.

Preview – KU is coming off an overtime loss at Lock Haven Friday night, 64-61. It was KU's fifth overtime game of the season. KU now returns home to face fellow sixth-place team, Cheyney, for its first of three games this week. Cheyney snapped KU's 15-game winning streak in the series last year, but the Golden Bears carry an eight-game home winning streak against the Wolves into Monday night.

Preview – The Golden Bears, ranked 19th in Division II, won on a last-second play at Lock Haven Friday night, 83-82. Trailing by one in the final seconds, KU came away with a steal, drove the length of the floor and sank the game-winning layup with 2.2 seconds to go for the victory. KU has shot higher than 50 percent the last two games – a mark KU is 5-0 when achieving this season. KU holds a six-game winning streak against the Wolves, who are looking for their first win of 2017.
