KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's and men's basketball teams are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 14 as they travel to Decker Gymnasium for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader at Mansfield. The Golden Bear women are set to tip off against the Mountaineers at 1 p.m., with the men to follow at 3 p.m.

Kutztown and Mansfield meet in a crucial matchup, with the winner moving into the final playoff position for the PSAC Tournament at the halfway point of the conference schedule. The Maroon and Gold are currently riding an eight-game winning streak against the Mountaineers, having swept the season series four years in a row, including an 84-75 victory in the last meeting inside of Decker Gymnasium on February 20, 2016.

Coming off its biggest win of the season, a 92-87 victory at first-place East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Jan. 11, No. 14 Kutztown puts its four-game winning streak on the line against Mansfield, who is in a five-way tie for fourth place in the PSAC East – four games behind the third-place Golden Bears. The KU men have also had recent success against the Mountaineers as they have won four in a row in the series with both wins in 2015-16 coming by 25+ points.
 
Following this Saturday, the Kutztown women and men are off until Wednesday, Jan. 18 when they welcome Bloomsburg to Keystone Arena for a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m.
