D2 ADA Release
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – 57 Kutztown University student-athletes were honored for their work in the classroom as the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced the 2015-16 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards on Thursday.
In order to be recognized, a student athlete must:
- have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work
- have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year
The KU women's track and field team and the field hockey team led the way with 11 members honored. Softball, bowling, football, volleyball, soccer, swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's basketball, wrestling and lacrosse also had student-athletes receive recognition.
Kutztown's success helped the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) produce the most student-athletes honored for a fourth consecutive year with 847.
