KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University women's basketball team will look to pull off the upset on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. as it takes on Bloomsburg University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at Nelson Field House.

Kutztown (8-13, 5-12 PSAC East) remains just one game out of the sixth and final PSAC Eastern Division playoff spot despite dropping its last four games. KU currently sits in seventh at 5-12, while Lock Haven holds the final playoff spot at 6-12.

The Golden Bears fell to first-place Shippensburg in their last game, 86-81, in what proved to be a competitive game from start to finish. Senior
Natalya Lee (Feasterville, Pa./Rancocas Valley Regional) nearly recorded her first career triple-double with nine points, nine rebounds and a career-high 14 assists (tied school-record).
Gina Lewis (Atlantic City, N.J./Holy Spirit) scored a career-high 18 points, while junior forward
Kelsey Watson (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) produced 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Bloomsburg (12-9, 9-8) heads into the game on a three-game losing streak, including a 65-61 setback at Mansfield on Saturday, Feb. 6. Adreana Sadowski had team-highs of 20 points and eight rebounds, while Julia Gantz posted 15 points in the loss.

KU dropped its first game with Bloomsburg earlier this season, 76-70, at Keystone Arena. It was the 14th straight loss for Kutztown against the Huskies and the 16th in the last 17 meetings between the teams.

The Golden Bears rank sixth in the PSAC in scoring offense with 69.9 points per game, while Bloomsburg is fourth at 70.5. Defensively, Bloomsburg is allowing 69.0 points a game and KU is letting up 69.5.

Bloomsburg is one of the most efficient shooting teams in the PSAC, ranking second with a 44 percent mark from the field. KU is hitting 39 percent of shots and will look to be above that mark on Wednesday.

Kutztown is second in the PSAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.14 and ranks third in turnover margin at 2.86. The Golden Bears lead the conference with 16.90 assists per game.

The Golden Bear trio of Watson, Lee and
Jenna Altomare (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) continue to provide a majority of KU's offensive production this season. Watson leads KU with 16.5 points per game (fourth in PSAC) and 9.0 rebounds per game (sixth in PSAC). She has eight double-doubles this season and posted eight or more rebounds in each of the last 12 contests.

Lee raised her assist total to 105 after tying the school-record with 14 against Shippensburg. She ranks fourth in the PSAC with 5.0 assists per game and is 13th in scoring at 15.0 points per game. Lee has scored in double-figures 19 times this season and has recorded five or more assists 10 times.
Altomare extended her streak to 21 consecutive games with a 3-pointer on Saturday. She is third on KU with 13.9 points per game and leads the PSAC with 68 3-pointers and 3.2 triples per game. Altomare ranks second in KU history with 68 triples in a season and is only 14 shy of breaking Rachel Wisemiller's school-record of 81 in the 2008-09 season.

Gina Lewis (Atlantic City, N.J./Holy Spirit) and
Kara Funk (Dover, Pa./Dover) have each contributed for KU this season in multiple areas. Lewis is fourth on KU in scoring with 6.7 points per game and is third with 4.2 rebounds a game. Funk is averaging 3.4 points and is third on KU with 46 assists.

Keifonna Ferguson (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) ranks second on the team with 5.5 rebounds a game to go with her 5.4 points per game. Freshman
Allison Girardi (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) has chipped in with 28 assists, while fellow freshman
Taylor Thames (Colmar, Pa./North Penn) has contributed with 27.

Mia Hopkins leads Bloomsburg with averages of 16.0 points and 9.2 rebounds. Sadowski is averaging 14.8 points per game and 6.3 rebounds a game. Morgan Klunk and Alex Ross each are averaging just over 10 points per game.
