Complete Game Notes

SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 32nd meeting between the Golden Bears and the Bald Eagles, dating back to 1930. KU won last year, 34-20, Kutztown holds an eight-game winning streak in the head-to-head series, and Saturday will mark the fourth time the teams meet as Eastern Division foes. KU leads the all-time series, 16-15, but Lock Haven's last win in the series was a 21-14 victory in 2002 at LHU. The teams have met five times in the last six years, with Kutztown holding an average winning margin of 24.4 points.

LAST YEAR: The Golden Bears controlled 36:54 time of possession and totaled 500 yards for the second straight week in KU's 34-20 road victory at Lock Haven's Hubert Jack Stadium. A 21-0 stretch spanning nearly 15:00 from the third to fourth quarters opened up Kutztown's lead over Lock Haven. KU led 13-6 at halftime, Lock Haven tied the game at 13 with a touchdown on its first drive of the second half, but KU responded with three straight touchdown drives to take control with a 34-13 lead with 6:30 to play.

LAST WEEK: Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) ran for 261 of KU's 459 rushing yards, both of which marked school-records, in a 49-30 victory at East Stroudsburg Saturday night. KU led 21-7 early in the second quarter, 21-16 at halftime after a late ESU spurt, but pulled away with 21 unanswered points in the second half for its sixth win over ESU in the last seven years.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) and Jake Perry (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) were named this week's PSAC East Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week, respectively. Reynolds ran for a school-record 261 yards, a school-record 345 all-purpose yards, and three touchdowns Saturday night. Perry hauled in his PSAC-leading fourth and fifth interceptions of the season, both of which were in the endzone.

RECORDS BELONG TO REYNOLDS: Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) ran for a school-record 261 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night at ESU. He averaged 13.7 yards-per-carry, finishing with 19 carries for a school-record 261 yards. He broke Maurice Adams' previous record of 259 in 2004. Notably, Reynolds broke Adams' record despite having nearly half of many carries (Adams had 35). He also broke the school-record for all-purpose yards in a game at 345. The previous record was 308 by Elfren Quiles in 2007.

TEAM RUSHING RECORD: As a team, Kutztown's 459 rushing yards against ESU last week were a school-record, surpassing the previous record of 400-even against Millersville last season. KU now averages 250.9 rushing yards per game, on pace to break the school-record of 250.4 from 1977.

PROTECT THE QUARTERBACK: KU is the best in the PSAC at protecting the quarterback, allowing a league-low 1.14 sacks per game. In fact, KU has not allowed a sack in three straight games, the longest stretch in 20 years for Kutztown.

RECORD-BREAKING BLOCKERS: KU's offensive line has blocked for two school-record rushing performances in the last two years - 400 yards vs. Millersville in 2015 and 459 last week at East Stroudsburg. The offensive line was the same for both games - Jordan Morgan (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Northwest), Mike Italiani (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic), Ben Cregger (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove), Brian Robbins (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Skyler Panchari (Pottsville, Pa./Blue Mountain).

RUSHING DEFENSE: Kutztown ranks fifth in the PSAC in rushing defense, allowing 108.6 yards per game. It is the second-best mark in the modern era at KU, behind a record 97.2 yards per game in 1995.

RUSHING ATTACK: Kutztown ranks second in the PSAC at 250.9 rushing yards per game. It is coming off a school-record 459 rushing yards, the second time in the last two years KU has broken the school rushing record. If the season were to end today, KU would break the school-record for rushing yards per game in a season, breaking the previous record of 250.4 from 1977. KU has run for more yards than it has passed in 5-of-7 games this season.

MOVING FORWARD: Kutztown has rushed for 100 or more yards in 15 straight games, dating back to 2015. Under head coach Jim Clements, KU is 15-6 when rushing for triple-digit yardage.

QB RECORD RUNS: Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) ran for 126 yards vs. Bloomsburg, including an 82-yard touchdown run. It marked school-records for the longest and most rushing yards by a quarterback in a game.

SACK LUNCH: KU ranks second in the PSAC and fifth in Division II at 4.0 sacks per game, second-most in school history behind a record 4.70 per game in 1985. KU has had eight and nine sacks in a game this season, both in the top-four in KU single-game history.

NEW STARTING QB: Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) is 4-0 since taking over at starting quarterback in Week 4 at Millersville. He has averaged 236 passing yards and 70.5 rushing yards over that span. For the season, he has 11 total touchdowns with three interceptions. The redshirt-freshman leads the PSAC in completion percentage (.664) and ranks fourth in passing efficiency (139.3).

THE REYNOLDS RAP: R-So. Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) is 95 yards shy of becoming the youngest Golden Bear to run for 1,000 yards in a season (previous seven were all in junior or senior seasons). He ranks second in the PSAC with 905 rushing yards (129.3 per game) and third with 12 touchdowns. He is currently 1-of-8 players in school history to average 100 or more rushing yards in a season and the first since 2001.

100-YARD RUNNER: Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) averages 129.3 rushing yards per game, 1-of-6 players in the PSAC to currently average 100+ per game. He posted three straight 100-yard games earlier this season, a first for KU since 2001.

BIG PLAY ABILITY: Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) has a team-high 15 plays of 20 yards or more this year, 14 runs and one catch.

HOPING TO BREAK THE STREAK: KU has missed an extra point in all seven games this season.

NO FIELD GOALS FOR US: KU is the only team in Division II to not attempt a field goal this season. Four teams have one attempt and nine schools have not made a field goal this year.

KELLEN'S CORNER: Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg), a two-time All-PSAC East wide receiver, ranks fifth among active Division II players in career receiving touchdowns, seventh in receiving yards and eighth in receptions. He has six touchdowns this season - fourth in the PSAC - and has caught a pass in 35-of-36 career games, including a current streak of 13 in a row.

DEFENSIVE LEADER: Zack Delp (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) ranks 10th in school history with 264 career tackles and 13th with 13.0 career sacks. A two-time All-PSAC selection, Delp has made a team-high 30 consecutive starts at linebacker for KU. He has notched 10 or more tackles in 12 games in his career, including three times this season. He leads KU with 59 tackles this season, sixth in the PSAC at 8.4 per game.

SENSATIONAL SOPHOMORE: Tajier Jefferson (East Orange, N.J./Queen of Peace), the returning PSAC East Freshman of the Year, is second on KU with 51 tackles. He has four career 10+ tackle games. Last year, he had 70 tackles in his first year on the field, the most by a KU freshman in more than 20 years, and ranked in the top-five in the PSAC with 16 TFL.

PART-IN ME: Troy Parton (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) ranks second in the PSAC with 6.9 receptions per game. He has two double-digit catch games, highlighted by a career-high 15 catches against Mercyhurst, two shy off the school-record.

BLOCKING THE BLOCKERS: After allowing four blocked punts in the first two weeks, KU has improved its coverage with none in the last five weeks. However, KU's four blocked punts allowed remain tied for the most in the NCAA this season, across all divisions.

MAGIC NUMBER = 24: KU head coach Jim Clements is 13-1 in his Kutztown career when holding opponents to 24 or fewer points. His only loss was to Mercyhurst earlier this season (L, 19-23).

STOPPING THE RUN: KU's success under second-year head coach Jim Clements has stood true with its defensive ability to stop the run. Under Clements, KU is 10-1 when holding its opponent to less than 100 yards rushing. His only loss was to Mercyhurst earlier this year.

SEASONED VETERANS: Offensive linemen Jordan Morgan (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Northwest), Ben Cregger (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove), Brian Robbins (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Skyler Panchari (Pottsville, Pa./Blue Mountain) are all returning starters. Combined, they have played in 129 career games.

STARTING CENTER: Junior Ben Cregger (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) has made 29 consecutive starts at center, the longest streak of any lineman for Kutztown.

TEAM CAPTAINS: Kutztown's team captains for the 2016 season are Zack Delp (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), Jordan Morgan (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Northwest) and Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg).

Having split carries for most of their careers, the duo has combined for 2,820 career rushing yards and 24 touchdowns to go along with 69 combined games of experience.

ALL-AMERICAN TACKLE: Returning All-American Jordan Morgan (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Northwest) has only missed one game in his career and has started at left tackle in 39 of KU's last 40 games, including a streak of 20 consecutive starts. His top honor last year was the AP Little All-America First Team, KU's first First Team selection since John Mobley in 1995. Morgan was a consensus Preseason All-American this year.

SPECIAL TEAM SPECIALIST: Led by Sherief Sutton (York, Pa./Central York)'s team-high 11 tacklse on special teams plays this season, Kutztown's kick return defense is the best in the PSAC and ninth in Division II, allowing 16.46 yards per return.

OVERTIME HEARTBREAK: KU is 2-9 all-time in overtime (OT). It played its first three OT games in 1996, but KU's first OT win was a 26-23 victory over Millersville in 3-OT in the final game of 2007.
