KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University women's basketball team will look for its second straight win on Wednesday night, Jan. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup with West Chester University inside Hollinger Field House.

Kutztown (8-9, 5-8 PSAC East) returned to the win column on Wednesday, Jan. 20, with a 72-60 victory over Mansfield at Keystone Arena. Senior guard
Natalya Lee (Feasterville, Pa./Rancocas Valley Regional) had game-highs of 19 points and nine assists in the win, while juniors
Kelsey Watson (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) and
Jenna Altomare (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) each chipped in 13 points. Lee earned her first career PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Week honor for her performance.Â

West Chester (13-5, 10-4) has won five games in a row and nine of its last 10. It defeated Lock Haven on Saturday, 59-55, in double overtime. Dallas Ely had 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Brittany Sicinski chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.

The Golden Rams have won eight of the previous 14 matchups with Kutztown dating back to the 2009-10 season, including four of the last five. The Golden Bears defeated West Chester, 78-69, in its final matchup last season, which took place on Jan. 31, 2015.

Shippensburg sits atop the PSAC East standings with an 11-2 conference record. West Chester is second and is 1.5 games behind at 10-4, while Kutztown currently sits in sixth at 5-8.

Watson has been Kutztown's most consistent performer on both the offensive and defensive end all season long. She leads KU with 17.1 points per game (third in PSAC), 8.6 rebounds a game (ninth in PSAC), 34 steals (sixth in PSAC) and 25 blocks (ninth in PSAC). Watson has scored in double-figures 16 times this season and has seven double-doubles, including six in her last seven games.

Lee is second on the team with 15.6 points per game (12th in PSAC) and leads KU with 79 assists (seventh in PSAC). She has scored in double-figures 16 times and has recorded four or more assists 12 times. Lee has hit a 3-pointer in 15 of 17 games this season, including the last 11 in a row.

The PSAC's top 3-point shooter, Altomare, has excelled all season long in her first year as a starter. She is third on KU with 13.9 points per game and tied for second with 29 steals. Altomare leads the PSAC with 55 3-pointers and 3.2 per game. She has hit a 3-pointer in all 17 games this season and has hit three or more in 12 games, including each of the previous four.

Gina Lewis (Atlantic City, N.J./Holy Spirit) has provided consistent play for KU as one of its starting forwards. She is averaging just under 6.0 points per game and is third on the team with 4.1 rebounds a game.

Kara Funk (Dover, Pa./Dover) has started in 16 of 17 games and is third on KU with 38 assists. Freshmen guards
Taylor Thames (Colmar, Pa./North Penn) and
Allison Girardi (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) have each contributed off the bench. Thames has appeared in all 17 games, providing close to 3.0 points a game and 26 assists. Girardi is averaging 2.5 points a game and has 27 assists.

Sophomore
Keifonna Ferguson (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) and freshman
Mariah Maciejewski (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) have provided depth for KU in the frontcourt. Ferguson is fifth on KU with 4.6 points a game and second with 5.4 rebounds in close to 18 minutes a game off the bench. Maciejewski has appeared in 16 games with averages of 3.1 points and 3.6 rebounds.

Sicinski leads West Chester with 16.5 points per game and 84 assists. Ely is second on the team with 13.6 points per game and is averaging 6.1 rebounds a game. Anna Kuntz is averaging 10.2 points and a team-high 8.8 rebounds.

West Chester is second in the PSAC in scoring offense with 73.2 points per game and rebounding with 41.8 per game. It is fourth with a 2.83 turnover margin and ranks in the top-six in both steals and blocks per game.

Kutztown ranks seventh in the PSAC with just over 70 points per game. It is third in turnover margin at 4.24 and leads the conference with a 1.22 assist-to-turnover ratio. The Golden Bears have shared the ball well all season, ranking second with 16.76 assists per game.Â
